The next meeting of the Marton Le Moor Parish Council will take place at 19:30 on Tuesday 12th October in the village meeting room
The village barbecue will take place at 5:30pm on Saturday 11th September at the village meeting room. Adults are £4 and children are free. We ask people to bring along their own beer and wines, puddings and donations for the raffle prizes. There'll be a table top quiz and the announcement of the sunflower competition winners. Please let Maggie Easton or Sandra Walkington know if you are attending by Monday, September 6th.
A local farmer is building a large 50*40 metre open slurry lagoon on Cocklakes Lane between Marton Le Moor and Dishforth airfield. This will be a very large facility with probably environmental and safety issues. See the pictures under the heading 'Slurry' on the menu bar.
The current planning application has now been suspended until the farmer submits additional documentation requested by HBC and the Environment Agency. Once this information has been obtained and verified the planning application will be reset and a new consultation process begun. All existing representations will be included in the new consultation process. The planning application has reference 10/03063/FUL. More details on this site as they become available.
